Our Gainesville crew had the opportunity to partner with the Marion County School Board to provide critical mechanical upgrades at multiple schools throughout Marion County. One of the highlighted projects was the Dunnellon Middle School Gymnasium Renovation, which began in January and was completed in August of 2024. Our team worked closely with the School Board and subcontractors to deliver a high-quality project while maintaining an active school environment.
Project Scope Included:
- Installation of a new air-cooled screw chiller to improve cooling capacity and overall system efficiency for the gymnasium.
- Installation of two chilled water pumps equipped with variable frequency drives (VFDs) to enhance system control, energy efficiency, and operational flexibility.
- Installation of new chilled water piping within the mechanical room.
- Installation of new chilled water piping connecting the gymnasium to the new chiller, ensuring proper flow, balance, and long-term durability.
These mechanical upgrades significantly improved the gymnasium’s HVAC infrastructure, resulting in a more efficient and comfortable environment for students, staff, and visitors.
